A week in Estonia was indeed intense, full of meetings, parties and more meetings like expected. I had the most amazing time with my family, friends and sauna. It is so true that you value things much more when you have been away. I was walking around like a tourist, taking hundreds of pictures, breathing air and looking at people and surroundings. It is its own way a beautiful country with interesting people.
And one week with almost no culture shock except of experiencing “high” servicing culture which is so bad that you feel like you are a smelly homeless trying to get into a 5star hotel.
Driving. I had to practice the highest level of stabile and safe driving style because I had the honor to drive my mother. Her senses are extremely sensitive when it comes to safe distance with the next car and breaking distance. I don’t know if my Egyptian friends would be proud of me or not while seeing me those days.
Language. I adapted very fast to my surprise. I wasn’t fighting for almost anything, I managed not to say almost any Arabic word/expression. At the beginning there were some difficulties with speaking Estonian but it also changed fast.
Behavior. I noticed one moment taking pictures of the forest because obviously we don’t have it in Egypt. And previously people who I considered to be almost naked didn’t catch my attention.
Thank you all who had time to meet. Its was truly an inspiring week.
